Someone who moves from place to place obviously, but what separates nomad from other Earth trotters is his propensity to stay in a place the longest. Nomad would actually live in a place and not just visit it. His stay might be as short as a few weeks and as long as a few years. What is important: unlike traveler, which nomad can also be, he moves to a place with all his possessions.
Traveler on the other hand has a base from which he makes occasional inroads seldom staying longer then a few weeks in one place.
The lowest form of life is a tourist. He comes in groups with a tour guide and a bus; takes a picture and buys a souvenir as his prove that he indeed visited the place. This is consumerism. If there are a lot of them they turn the place into something travelers and nomads try to avoid - a tourist destination.
